From the point of view of the editor of this article, it remains to be seen if the current recession that our country is going thru, actually affects entertainment related businesses in NJ. When we say entertainment, we mean any business that provides a leisure type of service (Bars, nightclubs, lounges, concerts, movie theaters, malls, even restaurants with Karaoke).

It seems that every news channel you turn on, when watching television, you hear about another business owner crying the blues that things are bad. Well why is it that the places that provide entertainment to New Jersey residents seem to be just as busy as always? Just the other day, we were down in Atlantic City (on a weekday keep in mind) and we could not believe how crowded it was.  Cash was flowing, people were gambling and restaurants were over booked!

Is it because people are eating and drinking their sorrows away?  Perhaps, it is because we, as a culture, are all wired to treat leisure is a necessity.

Maybe the only way to get thru this so called “recession” is to actually keep spending instead of conserving.  After all, that is the only way any businesses will survive. With the growth of businesses, more jobs are available for people like you and I!
This is just an opinion of course.  You feedback is always welcome.
